I saw my first hammock chair about 5 years ago in Canada at a friend’s house. She had just returned from New Orleans with this hammock chair and it was hanging in the living room. To put these hammock chairs on a sailboat is easy. We use the main halyard to hoist the chair then tie it off. Then we take another line and tie it to the O ring on the top of the chair and then secure it to the front stay.

This keeps the hammock chair swinging freely in the bow area. At anchor this is great because with the wind and the gentle rocking of the sailboat, the hammock chair swings just enough to be very relaxing.

To put these hammock chairs indoors, depending on where you want it to hang, you can use an eye bolt screwed into a ceiling joist with an 's' hook or you can use a swivel.
